Very Dear Retreat Center

The innovative “Very Dear” retreat is located in the mountains above Ochos Rios Jamaica. Due to local topography and geology, collected rainwater is the only source of domestic water. Aqua Nova designed a rainwater collection and treatment system to provide water for potable water uses. The system comprised of roof rainwater collection and filtration system, building-integrated cisterns, rainwater pumping system, filtration and chlorine disinfection along with a booster pumping system, and UV disinfection.

Aqua Nova provided engineering and construction advisement. Design completed in 2012. System online since 2013.
